Honoring Vision, Voice, and Community at Sun Valley
We have had the true privilege of working with Valley Oaks Center for Enriched Studies (VOCES) over the past several years, and each project has been a meaningful reminder of the power of art within education. From the very beginning, Sun Valley has carried a clear and intentional vision: to inspire students, to celebrate diversity, and to create spaces where every voice feels seen, heard, and valued.
What makes this collaboration so special is Valley Oaks’s commitment to using art as a tool for connection and education. Their walls are not simply surfaces—they are platforms for storytelling, representation, and inspiration. Through thoughtful planning and open collaboration, the school has continuously encouraged creativity that reflects its students, its culture, and its community.
DYtch66 has had the honor of working closely with Valley Oaks’s team on each concept, carefully developing ideas and bringing them to life one wall at a time. Every mural has been a collaborative effort, shaped by shared goals and a deep respect for the impact visual art can have on young minds. These projects are not just about creating something beautiful, but about creating something meaningful—art that students can identify with and feel proud of.
Watching students engage with these spaces has been incredibly rewarding. Seeing curiosity spark, conversations begin, and confidence grow reinforces why this work matters. Art has the ability to transform environments, and when placed within schools, it has the power to influence how students feel about themselves and the world around them.
It has truly been an honor to be part of Valley Oaks’s journey and to contribute to an environment that values creativity, inclusion, and expression. We are deeply grateful for the trust they have placed in us and for the opportunity to collaborate with educators who believe in the lasting impact of art.
We hope to continue working with schools like Valley Oaks—schools that are passionate about empowering students, fostering diversity, and using art as a voice for their community. These are the projects that inspire us, and this is the work we are proud to stand behind.
