CBS CELEBRATION OF STAR WARS WAS A BLAST
Dytch66's idea to paint a wall for the annual "May the Fourth be with you" celebration evolved into something much larger. With the help of his CBS crew, he curated a block-length Star Wars installation that captivated the community. The combination of artistry and the Star Wars theme set the stage for an immersive experience like no other.
The idea then sparked the concept of organizing an event in less than three weeks to celebrate the last month of Star Wars and coincide with the opening day of "Star Wars Movie A New Hope" the first Star Wars movie of the series.
Nona Gomez, the Development VP & Business Manager, played a pivotal role in ensuring the event's smooth execution. Coordinating the Star Wars cast, arranging cosplay characters, and securing a food truck were just a few of the tasks she masterfully handled. Nona's efforts in creating a buzz through social media and local news outlets heightened the event's success. This excitement helped to attract a larger audience and ensure a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. The dedication and hard work of the Blank Canvas LA team ensured that everything fell into place, making this event truly memorable. Being featured by KTLA was a remarkable achievement & is recognition of the team's incredible work and the event's success.
“It's wonderful to see how a single idea can snowball into something much bigger, uniting a community and providing a platform for fans to come together and celebrate their shared love for Star Wars. Congratulations to Dytch66, and everyone else involved for creating such a memorable event within such a tight timeframe.
We hope you take the time to see the largest Star Wars Mural installation in Los Angeles. And if you missed our event, we look forward to seeing you again next year!!!” - Blank Canvas LA
